The index shows the potential size of the supplier base of a specific industry in a given economy, and allows for a quick review of possible production locations with easy access inputs (or suppliers). The index consolidates information from different sources of official statistics and academic databases to provide updated, accessible, and easy-to-understand data for businesses to make location decisions.
